Spent a lazy day trawling through our local growers market with the four cherubs in the gorgeous rays of today. MOTH (stealing this saying, Man of the House) was studying all day, so we had a little mum inspired adventure. Its lovely to get out and about and lots of lovelies were to be found. I purchased a cute little hanging tea towel, daggy I know. But, extremely practical in my line of work!! Set my eyes on a lovely photo frame, made out of recycled fence pieces. Will need to write this down somewhere as a potential WISH list pressie.
We are going to trial this year a WISH bowl. I have heard of other families using this analogy, where everyone writes a present they would love to receive for Chrissie and place it wrapped up in a bowl. You can get every family member to use a different coloured piece of paper to code which wishes belong to whom. At the end of the year you can surprise the wisher with their gift on Chrissie Day.
It's crazy that its August and my mind is already flicking to Christmas but its great to be organised. Or at least pretend everything will fall into line come December 25th.
Enjoyed a lovely meal at a friend's place for dinner tonight. They know my favourite meal is steak and without fail everytime we visit, a juicy steak is plated up. Tonight's was divine, a huge piece of scotch fillet. My iron stores are replenished and I feel like fully energised again!!
Tonights resolution is to not work too hard on Sunday anymore, minimise the housework and don't turn on the computer unless absolutely necessary. Focus more on family, friends and togetherness. With this in mind one of the best parts of the day was shooting hoops with my girls in the courtyard (6, 4 & 1). Mini Liz Ellis (6) still doesn't have her eye in, so no-one was safe from her wayward missiles. It is cute that even though she didn't score one goal, she eagerly kept throwing up about 20 attempts with her cute little grin every time.
