Welcome to our new Monday night "Meet the Maker!" blog posting.
Each Monday night we hope to bring you a snapshot of one of our talented little makers. Aiming to give you an insight into the personalities behind the products, to bring you a little closer to those that make the market come to life.Tonight we are kicking off with the maker of Hopscotch Sundays - me as a trial run(not very exciting, haha). Next week we will be featuring the dynamic duo behind the clothing label Corduroy Corner.
What do you like about handmade? Handmade has a story and a connection to the maker. Knowing that someone has laboured over something makes it all the more special. Made with love.
Favourite handmade labels - Mamma 5 Designs, Tickle and Hide and a new on I came across is Marley and Lockyer
I can't get enough - fabric, trinkets and cups of tea
Most treasured possession - my diamond engagement ring, for this is where my little family all began
My family is - a mini tribe, four little bears with a mama bear and a papa bear refereeing daily life. Lots of fun, laughter and testing times.
I couldn't survive without - friends and chocolate
I wish I could - knit, crotchet, paint, draw and sing (not much to ask for really)
Dream holiday - Anywhere as long as it doesn't involve erecting a tent.
Favourite local restaurant - Delucas
Cake fave - Mars Bar Cheesecake
Current project underway - revamping an old chest of drawers for my daughter's room. The choice of colour is apple green and hopefully this will make organising the Barbies, Zhu Zhu's, Polly pocket and doll things more manageable (yeah right). The final coat was finished on Sunday and it looks pretty good in contrast to their candy pink walls.
A parting secret of life - "What you feed in your life will grow and what you don't will starve"

A great start! I think your markets are great and look forward to visiting many more times. The blog is an excellent idea and a wonderful way to communicate. May your days be filled with chocolate and love.

Thanks Barb,
DeleteI didn't realise we had a comment!! Thanks for the support regarding the market. It is a fun little venture and it is a great way of lots of people to come together for a lovely reason. The day is so rewarding and makes all of the work worthwhile.
many thanks
